All New Hooter Hiders

hooterI personally don’t nurse my children anymore… it’s been like, 19 months since I last had to hope I wasn’t flashing anyone when feeding my child. But, that doesn’t mean I am not aware of products that can make nursing in public (NIP) easier for moms. As a member of a Mom’s Club, an aunt and with my best friend (BFF) pregnant, I am up on the latest hooter hiders. Yup – Hooter Hiders… I am not just talking functionality, but a great brand too!

Hooter Hiders, well… they hide your hooters when nursing in public! It makes you less self-conscious, it keeps by-standers from staring awkwardly, it keeps disgusting men from leering and people who don’t “get it” from making a scene when all you want is to feed and bond with your child. Sometimes you resort to just tucking your kid under a shirt or blanket, but I know here in the south that can get sweaty and uncomfortable. So, that’s where Hooter Hiders really help. Why? Well, they feature a patented, rigid neckline which allows you to look down at your child and them to have eye contact with you, as well. Yet, the generous covering keeps all uninvited eyes at bay.Plus, the strap behind your neck is adjustable for comfort.

But, there are new features with the new styles of Hooter Hiders that are available. Most noticeable is either their pocket or ruffle detail. And, there are fresh new prints to choose from. I was sent the Nest to peek at. It is a lavender color with a white tree print on it. You will see a few Twitter-like birds floating through the print, as well. Very feminine and subdued – I know A LOT of moms that would love it.

When ordered, your Hooter Hider comes in a sealed plastic package. You open that to find that there is a carry bag to fold and keep your Hooter Hider in – nice and clean and ready to use when tucked in your Diaper Bag. The Nest has the Ruffle Detail, which appears at the top and bottom of the cover. It also has an inscribed, metal D-Ring for authenticity. I found the Hooter Hider to be large, soft (100% Cotton) and easy to return to it’s little bag until its next use. The Hooter Hider is Machine Washable in Cold and can be tumble dried at a low temperature.

jewelryAlso new to Bebe au Lait is their jewelry. They have created handcrafted bracelets with jewelry designer Julie Sandlau. The bracelets are adjustable, made of Italian woven nylon, linked by a polished pendant made of silver, features an oxidized symbol (heart or star) and holds a white topaz stone. There are sets for parents and children.

The Mom Buzz received a Hooter Hider for “review”.
