I have buzzed about the taste and benefits of Truvia in the past. It’s a calorie-free sweetener that is so …. sweet! While I usually need packet after packet of other sweeteners, only one packet of Truvia is perfect in my coffee or to sweeten my cereal. That’s because one packet of Truvia has the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar!
You see, I am on a special eating plan that limits the amount of sugar I can have. That can make things a little … bland. But a little Truvia in my oatmeal of coffee can make me feel like I am not denying myself life’s little pleasures.
If you don’t know what Truvia is, here is the down-low. Truvia is made from leaves of a stevia plant. They steep the leaves to capture the sweet rebiana, the best tasting part of the stevia plant. The FDA has affirmed the safety of Truvia Rebiana as a Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) for use as a general purpose sweetener thanks to a recent rigorous safety evaluation program. It’s great for anyone who is managing their calories or sugars. So that allows everyone the freedom to buy and try Truvia for some guilt-less pleasure. Truvia was even featured on Martha Stewart – you can see it on her Daily Find.
Now, since we are getting closer to the holidays I wanted to buzz about how you can make the Holidays Sweeter with Truvia. You can bake wonderful holiday treats, like cookies and brownies, with Truvia! All the recipes are on Truvia, but definitely check it out to make reduced sugar and lower calorie treats like:

i used Stevia extract as a sugar substitute because i am diabetic. Stevia is really sweeter than sucrose.;”~
Cheesecakes are the best and yummiest cakes that you can eat.~~~
i just leave munching and eating cheesecakes, they are tasty and yummy;’.
the thing i like about stevia is that it is tooth friendly.~;
i’d love to munch those very big cheesecakes, they are really tasty and sweet;;’
the great thing about stevia is that it is also tooth friendly like xylitol sweeteners`-:
I am a chef at an early childhood center and I make a version of pumpkin cheesecake: “Gingerbread Pumpkin Swirl” and every person LOVES it. The kids love pumpkin and, due to the fact it is so healthy, I try to use it a great deal! This, obviously, can be a treat:) I make a gingerbread crust (making use of store bought crunchy gingerbread cookies in place of the graham cracker) and then I also make a pumpkin filling, comparable to this recipe, and a regular vanilla filling. You pour the pumpkin filling 1st (it is a little heavier) and then top with the vanilla filling. Next, use a skewer and make swirls in it to make it extra unique! I make massive hotel pans full of this and, due to the fact I make it in such big quantities, I can’t fit the pan into a water bath, so I just place a pan full of water on the subsequent rack beneath it and I never have a dilemma. Yummy– I’m so excited for the holidays!
