Halls Refresh: Ease your Throat this Cold and Flu Season

hallsrefreshI just had some buzz I had to share. Halls came out with a new cough drop called Halls Refresh. They were kind enough to send me some samples to try, but I have been as healthy as a horse since they arrived. Thank goodness and knock on wood, right? But it seems like EVERYONE ELSE I talk to is sick. From bloggers to playdate moms and from family to my media contacts. Poor dudes! Now, since I can’t do anything about them being sick, sometimes you just have to let things run their course, right? But you can alleviate some of the unfantastic symptoms. One awful symptom that likes to tag around with flu and colds – the sore throat.

Don’t you hate the sore throat? Just swallowing is painful …. and it seems like you swallow more when you are sick. Or at least you just notice it.

But Halls has a new hard candy that will moisten your mouth, as it’s patented Mentho-Lyptus formula does it’s job. Like I said, I haven’t been sick, but I wanted to test at least one for you. For the first taste test I chose strawberry. Since they advertise it as hard candy as opposed to a lozenge, which is how I qualify it, I wondered what it would taste like. There is still that definite lozenge zing to it, but you can taste the strawberry. I wouldn’t trade in a life saver treat for it, but if you are truly sick with a dry mouth and sore throat, I would grab some Halls Refresh. They do taste good and they left my throat feeling oh-so-cool and … refreshed. (Great, accurate name!)

Halls Refresh also comes in Mint and Tropical Wave. I had no mint samples. The Tropical Wave had a definite pineapple flavor to it, though. I prefer the Strawberry to the Tropical flavor.  Halls Refresh is sugar free, so it’s okay for diabetics and people who monitor their sugar intake. It is available in 9-piece sticks or a 20 count resealable bag. Each piece has 6 calories, 3 grams of carbs and 0 sugars.

Halls says you can use this as an everyday refreshment. I can’t tell if it made my breath smell better. Where is hubby when I need him? I say during cold and flu season, you probably will be using this everyday. I swear, if I had a Halls Refresh for everytime someone told me they were sick, my mouth would be very moist.

So if you are going to the drug store to pick up your prescription, check out some Halls Refresh too! Moisten your mouth and let the drop do it’s magic!

* HALLS®  products may be used by adults and children 5 years and over. For children under 5 years, ask a doctor.

In Keeping with recent FTC changes, I am providing full disclosure that I received 14 2-pack samples in Strawberry and Tropical Wave from Halls. I was contacted to see if I was interested in trying samples and offering my opinion. I was. So those words above are my honest opinion. These are wonderful. I have had the flu and broncitis for about a month. Those really help my throat.
