A Merry Fraggle Holiday – DVD Review

Once Halloween was over, I pulled out all the Holiday movies in the house to put on “rotation”. The kids eventually figure out their favorites…and I have mine. Sometimes what the boys like surprises me … for example Scrooged with Bill Murray! My oldest (almost 4) loves it! Hilarious! But of course, as a mom I want age-appropriate options in the house. So I was thrilled when A Merry Fraggle Holiday arrived at the Mom Buzz.
My husband and kids LOVE the Fraggles. We even have a hand puppet that looks like a Fraggle! A Merry Fraggle Holiday is for families and children and runs for 74 minutes. The main story is about the Festival of the Bells. All the Fraggles prepare excitedly, but it doesn’t have the same feel to Gobo. He needs to rediscover the meaning behind the holiday to enjoy it with his friends.
The other two stories on the DVD are The Grapes of Generosity and The Perfect Blue Rollie. In The Grapes of Generosity, Gobo finds the grapes of generosity, which are supposed to make you more generous when eaten with friends. They look so delicious, though, Gobo decides to eat them by himself… and he not only is being selfish, but develops another problem, as well! And in the Perfect Blue Rollie, Wembley and Boober find a rare blue stone. But Boober doesn’t want to share with friends. All of the stories have great lessons about sharing, being generous and what the true meaning of the holidays are.
