Holidays, Twilight Premiere, Just Because – CustomizedGirl.com – WIN!

So my sister and I have been making plans to go to the new Twilight movie, New Moon. No, we are not Edward-obsessed fans. We are quite anti-Edward, finding him to be a tad …uhm…unmanly? We do love Jacob, though. Not in an unhealthy, obsessed way. Just in a “we really can’t stand Edward” way. So like I said, we were making plans to go out to New Moon together, which is a HUGE deal. We have not been to a movie together in 5 years. C’mon, we have kids and husbands, if we see a movie, those are our dates nowadays.

But, we decided to have a sister outing, and we invited a friend (like 10 years our junior) to go with us. Why? Because, she was on the fence between Edward and Jacob, and we had to make sure she still liked guys that are alive. You know, beating hearts, breathing, etc. So she was going with us. So now it’s turning into this big deal. So I said, “Hey, we should make custom tees!” And my sister jumped right onto that idea. I was going to use my normal go-to tee place, when she suggested trying CustomizedGirl – she saw it on the back of one of my gossip magazines. So I gave it a whirl….

I want to say there is an option to upload your own designs, which is normally how I do things. But, I wanted something simple, that wouldn’t take up too much time designing and still look wicked. My sister and I did some research for fun Team Jacob quotes and then I designed a few tees with the quotes. CustomizedGirl has clipart that you can use, too, to spice things up.

What I LOVED about CustomizedGirl.com over the other custom shop I use is that your text and graphics can be rhinestones, glitter or glow-in-the dark! How many tee places have THOSE options?

There are many tee styles to choose from that flatter any shape. Since my sister is tall, I chose a longer, crew neck tee in black to put her design on. Here is her Team Jacob tee below:

The text is Pink Glitter. The moon and stars are glow-in-the dark.

Then for my Team Jacob tee, I chose a pink ringer tee with black glitter text and a glow-in-the-dark paw print.You can really see the glitter in this picture. And the paw print really glows great. In person, it is really well done!  (The design version is the upper, left of this article.)

I like the freehand text the most. I thought it was way cool that you can either do a straight line of text or arch it. Notice how Team Jacob is arched on the pink ringer tee. And you can easily try out your design on other tees.

At this point is when I realized I loved CustomizedGirl.com, so I contacted them to see if they would like to do a give-away for one lucky Buzz reader. There is so much you can do for the holidays – or make your own Team Jacob tee. LOL! So they said yes and even gave me the opportunity to make a third tee for free! (Yes, my sister and I paid for our tees!) I thought PERFECT! Then I could order a third for my college friend. You remember what it’s like money-wise when you are in college, right? So I showed our teen-friend the tees we designed so far.

It’s easy to share your tee designs, either through a link they provide, Facebook or you can e-mail it. She checked out the designs and then put the text from my tee onto the shirt my sister ordered. She took off the paw and favored the moon and stars. Her text was glitter red on her Team Jacob tee.  You can see her results below – both the design on screen and when it arrived.

So far my sister, my friend and I have been talking up a storm about our Team Jacob tees, from inspiration to design to the fact they arrived all on Facebook. Other people wanted the tees so we sent them out links to customize it themselves.
