Holiday Guide: Alegria Means Happy Feet

redcrocoAlegria means happiness. Or for some shoe owners, it means Happy Feet. I know that’s what it means to me. I recently discovered these awesome, stylish, comfortable clogs by PG Lite. I daresay that women and moms have to put down their Crocs and pick up a pair of Alegria shoes instead.

Both Crocs and Alegrias deviate from a “traditional”  shoe appearance, making them stand out more. But, Alegria offers a larger selection of stylish colors and patterns. And Alegria offers must-have features that ensure your feet are HAPPY – this includes:

  • Removable Insole for the insertion of custom orthotics
  • Naturally Breathable Leather Insole with built-in Arch Support
  • Anatomically correct footbed, designed to match the natural shape of your foot
  • Rocker outsole reduces heel and central metatarsal pressure and encourages proper posture and proper gait.
  • Extra dept for a roomier fit
  • Flat bottom for stability

shoesThe first time I slipped on my Classic Alegria Red Croco it was immediate comfort. I daresay, more comfortable than being barefoot. If you want to be technical, I think my foot was happy from the get-go because of the anatomically correct footbed, rocker outsole and heavily padded footbed. I was happy from a style standpoint because of the sassy appearance that stands out from a sea of boring shoes. The first day I wore them, all day at a hospital to be with my husband, I got quite a few remarks from the nurses. These are people that could really use a comfortable shoe!

There are six collections to choose from when you visit HappyLooksLike.com – Classic, Paloma, Seville, Barcelona/Ibiza, Donna, Debra. My favorite collection was the Classic Collection, with the traditional clog look and a buckle on the side. Seville is cute and flexible, with a strap that can be either worn on the front of the clog for decoration or on the back for support. Paloma has a sassy “Mary Jane” look to it. Barcelona is a sandle style, great for vacation! Debra has a professional look to it, great for nurses and other professions that demand that you are on your feet … A LOT. Donna has a more mature look to it, but a similar feel to the classic style.

Shoe sizes are in Euro, but you can use the size chart to figure out which shoe will fit your foot best. I am a size 8, so I chose Euro 38. It fit my foot perfectly, even though the size translates to 7.5/8 .

I love the Red Croco style I chose. For the Classic clog, you can choose from FORTY-TWO colors! Oh-My-Goodness! It makes a decision hard. I was wavering between the red croco, fantasy tattoo and red plaid. Truthfully, I want a closet full of every color.

leapordShoes cost $99 – $119. It’s on the higher end of the shoe spectrum, but for shoes you will wear everyday I think it’s worth the money. I wish I could let you slide your feet into my shoe… you will FALL IN LOVE. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. My feet are happy. Thank you Alegria!
