Frosty the Snowman was a happy, jolly soul. With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.
Have you been bitten by the Christmas Bug yet? Well, I absolutely LOVE Build-a-Bear, and when I was there the other day I noticed they were transitioning from the Build-a-Bear Turkeys to some new Christmas Friends, like Hal the Moose and Frosty the Snowman. I was especially excited to see Frosty, since my oldest owns a Rudolph from Build-a-Bear. Rudolph’s nose would light up and it was really unique! So now Frosty could be a companion for my youngest, this time Frosty’s Cheeks and hat would light up with “magic” – and the power of some AA batteries. Here you can see him in action:
When you buy an 18 inch Frosty the Snowman for $23 you can add some accessories and options. One option is music – he sings the Frosty the Snowman jingle for $5. You can also search the Holiday Build-a-Bear selection and purchase different “sets” that include Frosty. He might be in different outfits (bedtime/ slumber, casual winter, traditional with pipe, scarf and broom or he might come with friends, like Karen and Hocus Pocus the magician’s white rabbit. There is even the Ultimate Frosty the Snowman Giftset that comes with Frosty wearing a scarf, hat, pipe and holding a broom. He comes with Karen and Hocus Pocus, plus the Frosty the Snowman DVD, which also includes Frosty Returns. Whoa!
I mentioned in the video above that the boys spilled strawberry milk on Frosty. What a pink mess. But I used dye-free soap and a damp, hot wash cloth plus a comb to work out the dried stain. It worked like a charm and he looked like new again!
The music is a must-have addition for Frosty. I love that he sings! The boys sing along with him. And you can tell (if you watched the last few seconds of my video) that he has definitely given my youngest some holiday spirit! We are going to go back to Build-a-Bear in December to make a few new holiday friends and a memorable holiday experience!
By the way, if you love Build-a-Bear, then become a Fan of Build-a-Bear on Facebook! Tell them the Mom Buzz sent you!
BUZZWORTHY: Build-a-Bear Custome Service is exceptional. I’ve never had issues with a store and they are always willing to help with questions. But here is the buzzworthy part – right now they are selling STAR WARS OUTFITS! You can turn a new (or owned) teddy into Darth Vader, a Jedi and other options as well. I say go have fun with it! The outfits are $15! If you bring in a Build-a-Bear you already own, you can buy the outfit and still fluff and wash them to get a good Build-a-Bear experience. Also, if you already have a Build-a-Bear but want to add sound, my local store will do a little minor surgery and add sound to it! Love love love Build-a-Bear and their 100% for the customer attitude!
