Stocking Stuffers: GUM Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush

202R - Crayola Flashing Toothbrush BackerI am always looking for ways to get my kids to brush their teeth correctly. They love to suck on the toothpaste and chew on their brushes, rather than brush, rinse and spit. I eventually started moving away from “traditional” toothbrushes in favor of ones that help promote healthy brushing habits, like the GUM Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush. This toothbrush will flash for 60 seconds when a parent presses the button on the base. That helps remind my sons that they need to keep brushing for as long as the light flashes.

Another feature I love about this Crayola Gum Toothbrush is the suction cup on the bottom. That way, instead of leaving a wet toothbrush on a bathroom sink or sitting in a toothbrush holder, your child can just have it stand upright on the sink, nice and clean until it’s time to use it again.

The Crayola Handle, in the shape of a crayon, is fun too! My oldest has a blue one, and boy does it light up nice and bright as he brushes! The toothbrush is also available in red, yellow and green. The bristles are nice and soft, gentle on gums.

The Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush is best suited for children 3 and up. It makes a great stocking stuffer, too! It retails for approximately $3.49. But Mom Buzz readers can use the promo code GUM100 to get $1.00 Off their Toothbrush purchase!

GumCrayolaTimerLight.com is a great source of tips and suggestions to help with your toothbrushing routine. You can learn how often to change out a toothbrush, when to visit the dentist, and how to minimize cavaties. Plus, you can visit Crayola Timer Light’s You Tube Channel to check out fun videos, including a funny song by Polly-Dent (a bird) and his friends.

MORE STOCKING STUFFER IDEAS:

896R Crayola flossers Naked_tn1The Gum Crayola Timer Light Toothbrush is a great stocking stuffer for kids 3 years and older. But what about mom and dad? There are plenty of options for adult toothbrushes, and often you can get a Value Pack with two toothbrushes in one pack for a lower prize. One toothbrush to look out for is the GUM Summit Plus Series, which statistically outperforms leading toothbrushes in cleaning and plaque removal. My husband and I both use these brushes and they last a long time. That’s saying a lot for me, since I tend to chew my toothbrushes too and the bristles get flattened too quick. But the Gum Summit Plus lasts against my awful toothbrushing habits.

Flossers are another near stocking stuffer idea. My dentist office has given me some Crayola ones before to use on my boys. They come in bright colors, to make it a little more fun. And the plastic handles on the flossers make it easier for me to help them clean between their teeth. Of course, my husband and I like the Gum Mint Flossers. They easily slide between our teeth and it has eliminated nasty floss just left on the counters. For some reason it is easier to throw these away, leaving our bathroom neater. And I love the Mint Taste. Honestly, Gum is the ONLY floss brand I use since it doesn’t shred between my teeth, leaving little strands, like other brands do.

Packs of flossers usually cost between $1.99 and $2.99.

I use a Gripit Floss Holder – http://www.gripit.biz – to floss daily. These handy devices come with their own floss supply that can be advanced in seconds and refilled form local drug and grocery stores. They last a lifetime and don’t clog landfills. I have used one for 35 years.
