Quick Fix for any Meal: SALSA!

roastedgarlicsalsa_lgI love salsa. It is usually my quick fix when “recreating” leftovers. For example, I roast a chicken one night. The next night I take the rest of the meat off the bone and throw it in the skillet with some yummy salsa. Then I can serve it over a salad or in some flat bread. Another idea is to throw meat in a crockpot along with chicken and perfectly seasoned salsa. Let it cook for HOURS as you fit in shopping, cleaning and playdates. And at the end of the day you have a YUMMY meal waiting!

Where can you find some delicious Salsa – well currently I am on a Mrs. Renfro’s kick thanks to her gourmet salsas. There are a variety of flavors and they cost only $3.25 a jar. So far I’ve tried the Garlic, Tequila and Peach Salsas, but there are almost 30 flavors in all! (I count 29 right now!) The sauces have yummy chunks of veggies (or fruit) and it just tastes … fresh! It complements every meal I’ve tried it with! And of course, you don’t just have to use the salsa to cook with, it’s always a great treat with come chips! In those instances, like when a game or good movie is on, you can pull out the Nacho Cheese Sauce (my sister would LOVE that!) or Hot Salsa.

Overall, I just think I need a cabinet full of all these flavors! They are great for parties, as well as quick, flavorful fix to an everyday dinner. Plus, it just proves that gourmet doesn’t have to be expensive. You can also get great recipes using Mrs. Renfro’s Salsa from the site! You can get great tailgating recipes or quick supper ideas!
