More and more parents are finding they are not getting a good night’s sleep. There are a multitude of reasons, ranging from a crowded family bed to an OLD mattress (5 to 7 years) that squeaks and is out of shape. Buying a larger or newer might be the answer, but it is not always the affordable solution when a good, large mattress can cost $1,000 or more. Scary, when you are just thinking about stretching your dollar for next week’s groceries. But you see, I had BOTH of those problems above and I discovered a GREAT solution that is easier during this recession – the Select Comfort True Silver Mattress Pad.
First off, I’ve been complaining about our mattress for a few years. The mattress squeaks all the time. If my husband moves, it squeaks. If I move, it squeaks. Plus, it was just misshapen. It is easily over 10 years old – probably 15. But my husband and I can’t justify purchasing a new mattress right now, when we are still putting every penny into his student loan. I have to admit, I was drooling over the options at Select Comfort. Also, my oldest son often sneaks into bed with us, so at this point all three of us are wriggling and sqeaking in this bed, giving no one a good night’s sleep.
Thankfully, Select Comfort wanted to show me that they had more than mattresses to create the perfect bed. They have Customized Memory Foam Pillows, Classic Plush Blankets and a whole line of True Silver Bedding Solutions. In the True Bedding line you will discover pillow protectors, mattress pads and blankets. The great thing about the True Bedding line that stands are that they use 99.9% pure silver fibers. Silver is naturally antimicrobial, anti-odor and anti-static. Silver also provides dust-mite protection and adjusts to your body’s thermal needs to help keep you cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
When I discovered these options, I had some hopes that the True Silver Mattress Pad would add some comfort. But I’ve had those mattress foam toppers before and they did little to increase my comfort. Boy was I in for a GREAT surprise when the True Silver Mattress Pad arrived and I placed it on my bed. First off, I was worried it would just wriggle from under the covers. But it actually fits to your bed like a fitted sheet and then you place your fitted sheet over that. It fit perfectly. Then … you go to sleep. It’s literally more comfortable than sleeping on a cloud, or so I imagine. A cloud would be pretty moist and you’d fall right through. The True Silver Mattress Pad let you sink into pure comfort and the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had. It keeps us cool as we sleep and it has stopped my old mattress from squeaking! The True Silver Mattress Pad gave my old mattress new life! It’s Amazing!
The True Silver Mattress Pads are available in 5 sizes, from Twin Long to Eastern King. Prices range from $149 to $299. You are upgrading your sleep for a fraction of the cost of a new mattress.

I would love to try the new mattress pad –I have the same problem a 15 year old mattress–and our bed is kind of wedged in so it’s been impossible to flip the mattress–my poor DH has a good 100 lbs on me –so it’s a little miss shaped. I also would love a new down pillow–I’m 43 and have been using the same down pillow my whole life—it now has 4 pillow cases on it to give it some body and to keep the feathers from escaping—I have a 19, 18, and 15 year old and I just never spend on myself–one of the kids always needs something.
Thanks for the chance to win—Happy Holidays!!
