Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul

sookieI own two dogs, an 8 year old Boxer and a 5 month old Shar-Pei. One thing that I seem to be always doing, besides scooping poop, is buying dog food. I am sure many dog owners can relate!

Well, if you are like me and want a good brand of food for your dog, check out Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul. It is made with four kinds of meat, all of which are purchased from food grade suppliers and are certified hormone and antibiotic free. There are no chemicals used to preserve their formulas. Instead they use mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) to preserve the chicken fat in our pet foods. The added ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and rosemary extract in some of the formulas also have preservative effects.Plus, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul Dog Food is one of the approved dry dog foods by the Whole Dog Journal.

The Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul brand has products for dogs and puppies, cats and kittens. The Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul website also provides a wealth of information for pet lovers and owners. For example, puppies are just like babies. They need to be fed often and get cold easily.

I suggest checking out their website if you are interested in health and general care tips for your pet. Plus, decide is the Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul brand is right for your furry friend!

I could use the Adult Cat Light Formula for my two cats. I have to admit that I over-indulge them on occasion and they have put on a few pounds!

LOL. No cat toys in their stocking this christmas to help them play the weight off?

The Light Formula for Adult Cats. My cat is overweight….overloved, overindulged. I feel like I’m making up for her abuse at the hands of her former owner when she was tiny. We rescued her and she has come full circle.

This pet care tip will help us: To cut calories, first record all of the food and treats that your pet gets. Pet owners are notorious for giving their dogs and cats just a bite when they are making lunch or dinner. These little bites add up to significant calories, especially when we’re talking about cats or small dogs. Reducing the number of treats your pet gets, or replacing high calorie treats with low-cal options may be all it takes to help melt the weight away.
