Not sure if you should keep your child home from school? Print out the sick day guidelines from Triaminic and keep it in your medicine cabinet! I taped it on my cabinet door for at-a-glance information. Pretty much, Triaminic and NASN.org suggest keeping your child home if:
- They have a fever of 100.4 or higher.
- They have been vomiting
- Have symptoms that will keep them from participating in school, such as:
- Excessive Tiredness or Lack of Appetite
- Excessive Coughing or Sneezing
- Headache, Body Aches, Ear Aches
- Sore Throat
You can also keep track of cold & flu symptom trends by state with the Cold & Flu Tracker. Triaminic provided this cold & flu tracker, they are a leader in children’s over-the-counter cold and flu symptom medication.
