Best Bet for Booster Seats

According to a NHTSA survey, 52% of kids ages 4 to 5 don’t use a booster seat. But the truth is, these children are less likely to be seriously injured in a car accident if they are riding in a booster seat, as opposed to just a seat belt. There are a lot of options out there, but you can feel secure in knowing that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) voted Evenlfo’s Big Kid Amp Booster Seat as a “best best” for booster seats. You can learn more Safety Travel Tips with this video:

I was in the market for a booster seat, so I had to learn more. The Big Kid Amp is for children who are 40″ tall to 57″ tall and weigh 40 to 100 pounds. That is a wide range in height and weight, which means you will be getting a lot of use out of this booster seat. And you might have to prepare yourself for sticker shock – in a good way. You know how pricey car seats are? Well, the Big Kid Amp  Booster is only $24 – $25 at Targer, Amazon or Walmart.

The Big Kid Amp is a No Back Booster. If your seats have head restraints, these No Back Boosters work great, plus they are lightweight and easy to move from one vehicle to another. My boys are notoriously messy, but the Big Kid Amp has a comfortable, removable, wipeable/washable pad which is easily cleaned. It also has soft armrests, so that my son can be comfortable.

There are two cool cupholders on either side of the seat that holds their cup in place with a thick elastic. It ensures any size cup or beverage bottle stays in place. This is the first cupholder that my son was able to use easily. I also like that it can hold other items, like small handheld games or plush toys.

And I love the belt clip that helps position the seat belt properly on your child’s shoulder, which is important for safety and comfort.

Overall, the seat is just easy to use. There is no tricky installation, like with car seats. You just place the booster where your child sits. Then you put the lap belt over them. Now, there will be a shoulder belt too. You don’t want the shoulder belt touching their neck or so low that it is hanging of their shoulder. If that’s the case, use the belt clip accessory that is stored under the seat that attaches to the shoulder belt to make it a perfect, comfortable fit.. As Evenflo says, it’s “safety made easy”. You can purchase the Big Kid Amp in three colors – red, pink and blue. All have accents of black. You can get a 360 view of the Big Kid Amp here: Big Kid Amp 360
