I mentioned earlier that Cozi is more than another family journal. It is actually a tech-savvy tool that keeps you uber-organized! I am so glad that I discovered some new-to-me features that moms of iPhones and Smart Phones would LOVE. Just think, no more forgetting appointments, your grocery lists or your kids at school. (Yes, I know moms who have forgotten to pick up their kids from school. Hehe.) If you are one of many moms to have an iPhone or Smart Phone, you will have your family calendar, shopping lists and to-do lists available at your finger tips!
TEXT APPOINTMENTS TO YOUR PHONE
I love this feature. You are a busy mom – appointments get by the best of us. But when you add an appt to your calendar, you can ask it to remind you anywhere between 30 minutes to a day ahead of time. (I see that there are “longer’ options, but they don’t seem to be available to me.) You will get those reminders as an e-mail if you have an e-mail contact for the family members involved – or a text message if you have a phone number for the family member.
So if you are busy taking care of your baby, but have a doctor appointment for your older child and need to pick them up from school, you can schedule a reminder text an hour before hand so you can get ready. AWESOME.
EASY TEXT MESSAGES FROM FAMILY
When your kids come home from school, they can use Cozi to send a text message that they are at home. Or you can use the messaging feature from Cozi’s homepage to text your spouse to bring home dog food. Simply put, you don’t need a phone to send a text!
NO MORE FORGOTTEN GROCERY LISTS
I love this, since I am ALWAYS forgetting my grocery lists. You can use Cozi to create your shopping list. Then when you go to the store you can either print your list … but that means you were organized and didn’t forget it on the printer after printing it. In that case, you call Cozi and either have your shopping list read to you or text messaged to you. I prefer the text!
Before you leave the house you can also choose to have the list sent. You just go to your Grocery List on Cozi, set up the phone number(s) and then click the name of the family member who should receive the shopping list.
Overall, Cozi is totally keeping up with the on-the-go family of today. Check out how it can keep you moving at the speed of life!
