Figure Shoes
With it being 2010, this is the year I plan to compete. From here on out, I have to take it seriously! That means a good protein-packed diet and hard-core lifting at the gym.
I still have a lot of preparing, and it’s not just with increasing muscle mass and decreasing body fat – I need to be competition ready. There are a lot of little details that come with preparing for a contest, such as a tan, bikini bite to keep the suit in place, stage make-up and a good hair style. I also need pageant shoes and a figure suit. I already have the figure shoes I plan to wear. They came from MyShoeConnection.com and are the Lolita heel. They cost $79.99.
For my figure suit, I am planning on purchasing from Saleyla. Right now I look and drool. I can’t order until closer to the competition date, though, so that I have a better idea of my measurements. My current favorites are the Black Sequin, Fuschia Pink Velvet and Hot Pink Velvet. I will need two suits, one for the show and one as “back-up”. I will probably get the Black Sequin and one of the pink ones.
I am going to have to do my make-up for the stage took, too look feminine under those harsh, bright lights. Right now I am thinking of going with Avon’s mineral make-up for my foundation and blush, but Orglamix’s artisan crafted pure mineral make-up for my eyeshadow. They have so many shades, one is sure to complement my figure suit perfectly. Right now I am leaning towards either Ambre, Indigo or Marshmallow.
So that is shoes, make-up and figure suit. What next? I guess I just have to keep lifting! I’ll get a “countdown” ticker soon so we can count towards the contest.

WOW. Alot of stuff goes into a competition. Who would have known. Good Luck!
so exciting! I hope you post everything, I want to see what you pick, even you doing your makeup! How fun!!!
Oh I like the black sequin suit! Those are pricey! I love the shoes too but would fall on my face if I ever wore them hee, hee! I need walk in heels training!
Cool. I couldn’t find a competition post. I’m assuming you are still prepping?
Hey Erin! Love your picks for suit and shoes. I’ve heard good things about Saleyla. I actually thought about ordering from her as well. A friend of mine says she great to work with. Your shoes are similar to mine, there are lolita’s but without the strap. At first I though a strap would be more secure I’d faint if I lost my shoe on stage but I found the strapless fit very well. I can’t wait to see more!
