Funky Monkey: A Snack with Bite

As you all know, I am a huge Disney nut. We go monthly, if not more. This involves a lot of preparation when you are leaving the house with two kiddos. Change of clothes, sippies and snacks are high on our must-have list. Since I don’t want to purchase snacks and food at high prices at the park, I try to have a good selection in my bag. One snack that we recently were asked to try and worked well with our outings, whether to a theme park or a quick local playdate, are the Funky Monkey Apple Cinnamon dried fruit snacks. Or as they call them, Applemon.
All Funky Monkey Snacks are gluten-free, sugar-free and preservative free – nothing but three servings of fruit in each bag. They actually have seven flavors to check out: Applemon (Cinnamon Apple), Bananamon (Cinnamon Banana), Pink Pineapple (Pineapple and Guave), Carnaval Mix (Banana, Pineapple, Apple and Papaya), Jivealime (pineapple and lime juice), Purple Funk (acai and banana) and MangOJ (mango and orange juice). The snacks are perfect for those on the go and are a healthy alternative to chips or candy. Plus, even parents like them! I know my husband and I gobbled up the Applemon right along with our littlest monkey! Funky Monkey uses a unique freeze-drying process that allows the fruit to retain nearly all the flavor and nutrients found in fresh fruit, while still having a satisfying crunch.
My kids and I aren’t too partial to dried banana, we all prefer it fresh. But if your kid already likes dried banana, a lot of the other flavors will be right up their alley. If they are cautious snackers and want something familiar, but sweet, definitely grab a bag of Applemon for your outings, playdates or to put in a lunchbox! You can order Funky Monkey Snacks on Amazon in 1 ounce bags, which have three servings of fruit, or smaller .42 ounce bags with one serving of fruit. If you want to find Funky Monkey local, check out Whole Foods or Super Target for these travel-friendly snacks.

Funky Monkey snacks rocks. They are yummy and Shae LOVES them.
I know so many families who have kids that can’ tolerate gluten and it’s great to know about a product that is kid friendly, but still gluten, preservative, and sugar free. Plus, there are so many flavor options, which is something you don’t often see with specialty food items.
Thanks for letting us all know about this product!
We have tried these too! They are great for on the go!
These are some of our Favorite Snacks! I make my mom get us some whenever she goes to Whole Foods!
me and my sister are both allergic to Gluten and we were always on a gluten-free diet ever since we were teenagers. ~
