I am a HUGE Pampers fan! With two boys, I’ve tried Huggies, Luvs, Publix brand, Target brand and various cloth. Okay, I admit I love cloth diapers, but that was towards the very end of my diapering of Lochlan. And even then I used Pampers at night. But considering how Pampers Cruisers were my go-to diapers, not looking disgusting after being used and/or too stuffy, I was uber surprised that they decided to upgrade their already awesome diaper!
Now, my boys are already potty trained, but they asked me to take a look at the new style anyways and have a friend try them. The diapers are cute with Elmo decorating the front. The sides are stretchy, which I always loved about Pampers. I found that other diapers would lose their “side tabs” when diapering my son. So even though the diaper was “cheaper”, I would have to throw it away unused, which was a bigger waste then spending a little more for a quality diaper.
The biggest news about Pampers with the Dry Max technology is that it has a new core which allows the diaper to be thinner after being wet. My friend tried it with her 2 year old boy. She said the diapers seemed overall thinner, even before getting wet. The diaper is advertised as locking wetness away from your baby’s skin for up to 12 hours. I always thought Pampers did a great job, and my friend agrees. There is no weird gunk that has exploded from the Pampers and her baby doesn’t “feel” wet when it’s time to change him.
Overall, she says that when the diaper is wet it is less bulky, but still flexible and comfortable. I always hated how some of the other diapers we used got stiff after being wet – how uncomfortable. That said, even though it locks away wetness for up to 12 hours, don’t leave a baby unchanged for that long during the day! Honestly, I changed diapers as soon as they were wet/dirtied. It’s better for baby’s bottoms!
The new design actually contains 10 percent less material weight, so it can help reduce a family’s impact on the environment, if they are not ready to make the switch to cloth. In fact, if current North American Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers users switched to the new Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max diaper, they could together throw away the weight of 1 billion less diapers every three years (based on 08/09 volume for Swaddlers/Cruisers).
The new Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max will be available at retail across the country beginning in March 2010. Product will be available at mass, discount, baby specialty, grocery stores and online retailers where Pampers products are sold, with the same retail pricing as the current Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers (pricing is at the sole discretion of the retailer).

One reader will win a coupon for a week’s worth of Pampers Dry Max diapers and a Liz Lange diaper clutch (Clutch retails for $50)!

I trust Pampers because they’re the only diapers I’ve used that doesn’t leak, I’d love to try these new ones!

I like the fact that they are thinner as long as they keep my baby dry.
Basically, I trust Pampers because they haven’t let me down yet. One of the benefits of living in America is that there are plenty of choices for basically anything that you could ever want to buy. One of the downsides of living in America is that there are basically dozens of choices of anything you could ever want to buy. I tried some store brands (my philosophy is to start with the cheapest and work my way up as necessary until happiness is achieved). And none were worthwhile until I reached Pampers… basically the least expensive of the ‘national’ brands. They work great (or have so far anyway). Why try anything more expensive??!?! Anyway, thanks for the giveaway.
I love that they are thinner. Thicker diapers make it hard for clothes to fit right.
I like that they are thinner but more absorbent!
I trust pampers because over the past 10 years I have had four kids in diapers and they have always been a brand leader with an excellent quality product that doesn’t cause my kids to have rashes or leak.

I am a facebook fan of pampers my user id is degood
I trust pampers because they’ve been around forever and have earned their reputation as a great brand. With diapers, if your product doesn’t work, Moms will quickly move on to the net brand. Leak once, maybe it’s a fluke, but any more than that and it’s sayonara. So if they’re sill america’s favorite, you know they’re doing something right!
