New Toddler Belt from TYG Designs #Win

My oldest son, 3.5 years old, is not “traditionally sized”. What do I mean by that? When I put pants on him, they either fit around his waist, but are too short. Or they fit properly his length, but are wide around his waist, so his pants are hanging off. So that means we often resort to belts.
Now, let’s get a little retro. Do you remember when you were a kid that you had a belt that you just connected the ends? No looping or sticking a little metal rod into a hole? The belt was adjustable, though? The belt rocked for it’s simplicity. A preschooler could easily manage taking it on and off, especially for last minute bathroom runs. Whatever happened to those? Well, they don’t seem to be mass-produced, but you can get them from TYGDesigns.com.
TYG Designs specializes in a one-size, elastic belt with no Velcro (which looses power over time), strong snaps or difficult metal pieces. The belt is 1″ thick, perfect for tiny waists, and the buckle lays flat, so it does not get uncomfortable when your child plays. TYG calls this belt the Freedom Belt.
I have had the opportunity to try this belt for about 3 weeks now with my son. We received it in black. Each belt comes with a belt loop charm that can be removed and attached to a book bag, if desired. It was definitely nostalgic, as I remembered owning a similar belt. Currently the belts retail for $9.95, but shipping is free. I’d order at least two, especially if you are buying for a school aged child!
