Recycle Food Containers, We All #WIN

The Mom Buzz is helping Purina spread the word out about recycling pet food containers with their new “Together We Can Recycle” initiative. I never thought of it until this week, so the initiative came at a great time. But I have started recycling not just aluminum pet food containers (like Friskies and Fancy Feast), but also cardboard packaging that comes with some pet foods.

Purina has teamed up with Keep America Beautiful on this and is asking pet owners to take a pledge to recycle these products! Every little bit can make a difference!

I pledged. I learned that Recycling 1 ton of aluminum cans conserves the equivalent of 36 barrels of oil, or 1,665 gallons of gasoline.
