Whenever I talk about Macy’s on the Mom Buzz I have to say … I :heart: Macy’s. Dedicated readers know the Macy’s Day Parade is a HUGE influence. How can you NOT like a company that gives us an AWESOME parade every year for Thanksgiving and to welcome the winter holidays?
Okay, that said – Macy’s is also really involved with charities – encouraging you to shop for a cause. And they just have just fab fashions and styles, not just limited to adults. They have tiny, adorable outfits for baby’s that definitely make a first impression at a baby shower or new baby gift.
They have two lines of clothing under the name First Impressions (available ONLY AT MACY’S) – the Satin Hanger Collection and the Everyday Value Collection.
Satin Hanger Collection: The name says it all. Smooth looks for tiny tots. They make the most adorable baby even cuter! For girls there are smocked and chiffon dresses, as well as smocked legging set. For boys there are adorable sweater vests, patterned/coordinated shirts and pants and the cutest shortalls with complementing shirts. Honestly, I love ShortAlls on little boys – it’s just too cute.
In for the season for boys are plaids and patterns. They don’t forget that it’s made for boys, with cute applique animals adorning soft polos. I saw a size 0-3 polo/short set close-up and just wished it was a little (a lot) bigger to stick my baby (2 year old) in it. An outfit like that would cost between $16 to $32 dollars – definitely grab it if you see it for $16!
This collection is perfect for special occasions, family photos, holidays and impressing in-laws. This collection is available in sizes 0 -24 months.
Everyday Value Collection: When you don’t mind if your kid moves and grooves, but still want them to look adorable – check out the Everyday Value Collection. This is perfect for library visits, play dates and going to the park. These are adorable clothes at reasonable prices. (Excite the eye – soothe the pocketbook.)
I don’t have a girl – but I have done my fair share of shopping for nieces and goddaughters. So when I saw an adorable, floral accented, pink/white 5-piece set I oohed and ahhed to myself lifting each 100% cotton piece out knowing that style wasn’t compromised for value. The cotton is not too thick – not too thin. The elastic was giving, but not droopy. The floral was sweet, but not overdone. A five-piece set like that costs between $11.99 and $14.98. FIVE PIECES for TWELVE DOLLARS! That’s insane! With the set you get pants, a bib, two onesies and footy pajamas.

PLUSH: Based on the 14″ plush bear I saw, you can’t go wrong with their plush collection. So soft with an embroidered nose and eyes. He is so cuddly for a little one. I also think he would make a great topper for a diaper cake – *hint*hint*. it has an Everyday Value of $12.98. If Blue Bears aren’t your thing, there is also a pink bear, brown giraffe and off-white sheep.
Remember, First Impressions is available only at Macy’s. For everyday to special occasions, these outfits and accessories are perfectly adorable and make great gifts.
