My family does not use the dishwasher too often. Mostly because I don’t feel that it does as good a job as we do handwashing. I hate when I pull a fork out of the dishwasher and it still has “something” on it. Yet, it seems insane rinsing dishes just to put them in the dishwasher. It’s like washing them twice!

All you have to do is SCRAPE your dishes, put them in the dishwasher and run it – and Finish Quantumatic cleans your dishes. Once you’ve done 12 washes, simply replace the cartridge. And you’ll know when it’s time to replace because there is a little rollerball indicator on top keeping count for you.

I was also sent Jet-Dry Turbo Dry. I think the concept is that somehow it allows water to slide off faster, so there is no time for water-droplet marks to show on the dishes. I find it works with everything – spoons, forks, knifes, plasticware and glass. I never used my rinse agent before adding Jet-Dry Turbo Dry, so I actually had to call my mom to make sure I was doing it right. I just squirted some in, closed the top and ran my dishwasher. It was pretty cool and I can see doing that with fancy dinnerware that has been stored away before a fancy dinner. You don’t want your mother-in-law wiping spots off glasses, right?

Overall, I love the Finish Quantumatic because I don’t have to prerinse, so I am saving water. And I don’t have to run the dishwasher twice because less-than-powerful detergent didn’t take off all the food particles. Ewwww.
