My family does not use the dishwasher too often. Mostly because I don’t feel that it does as good a job as we do handwashing. I hate when I pull a fork out of the dishwasher and it still has “something” on it. Yet, it seems insane rinsing dishes just to put them in the dishwasher. It’s like washing them twice!
But there is this awesome product called Finish Quantumatic that is a dishwashing detergent dispenser that you put on the top rack. It takes a 12-wash cartridge that automatically knows when you are washing dishes, releasing the next cartridge. And the cleaning power is amazing. All you have to do is SCRAPE your dishes, put them in the dishwasher and run it – and Finish Quantumatic cleans your dishes. Once you’ve done 12 washes, simply replace the cartridge. And you’ll know when it’s time to replace because there is a little rollerball indicator on top keeping count for you.
I was also sent Jet-Dry Turbo Dry. I think the concept is that somehow it allows water to slide off faster, so there is no time for water-droplet marks to show on the dishes. I find it works with everything – spoons, forks, knifes, plasticware and glass. I never used my rinse agent before adding Jet-Dry Turbo Dry, so I actually had to call my mom to make sure I was doing it right. I just squirted some in, closed the top and ran my dishwasher. It was pretty cool and I can see doing that with fancy dinnerware that has been stored away before a fancy dinner. You don’t want your mother-in-law wiping spots off glasses, right?
Overall, I love the Finish Quantumatic because I don’t have to prerinse, so I am saving water. And I don’t have to run the dishwasher twice because less-than-powerful detergent didn’t take off all the food particles. Ewwww. And I think Jet-Dry Turbo Dry will help you really show off the shine on your cutlery and dishes.
You can buy the Finish Quantumatic system with one 12-count detergent pack for around $15. You can buy a 2-pack of detergent for $11.69.

I learned from their section “Save Energy and Water” that it saves water to use a dishwasher instead of washing utensils by hand!
automacilly releases dish detergent for 12 loads mverno@roadrunner.com
I learned that you should scrape, not rinse your dishes before loading. According to ENERGY STAR, rinsing can use up to 20 gallons of water. Automatic dishwashing detergents are designed to do the cleaning so you don’t have to. Thanks for the review and giveaway!

I learned that Reckilt Benckiser is planting 2 million trees through the Trees for Change Project.
According to a recent study, automatic dishwashers use in average 4-6 gallons of water per wash, whereas manual dishwashing uses 27 gallons in order to clean the same number of dishes. Hence automatic dishwashing saves up to 85% of water compared to hand-washing.
You get 12 washes automatically without refilling.

Why is QUANTUMATIC™ in a blister and not in a recyclable cardboard? The plastic blister is recyclable where facilities exist. We are constantly exploring ways to make our packaging more sustainable.
it’s good for 12 washes

I learned that it has a counter that tells how many washes remain.
I learned that QUANTUMATIC™ is powered by heat from your dishwasher, so an external power source is not required.
I learned that it works just as well in machines with two spray arms. This would be great because my dispenser always clogs with clumps of regular detergent and then won’t open.
