Crayola and Perdue – HUGE GIVE-AWAY #win

Here is your chance to WIN BIG. Think “CRUISE PACKAGE“, “YEAR SUPPLY OF PERDUE CHICKEN” and a lot of other prizes! It’s so easy, that you just HAVE to try! All you have to do is log on to perdue.com/familyfun and upload a photo, drawing or coloring sheet that shows off how your family makes mealtime fun! Here’s how to enter:

  • Take a digital photo, color a freehand picture of your family’s mealtime fun or enter your artwork from Crayola Lights, Camera, Color!
  • Visit perdue.com/familyfun to enter your artwork in the contest
  • Starting October 1st vote for your favorite entry at www.perdue.com/familyfun and tell your friends and family to do the same

Speaking of Perdue, they have just released the yummiest nuggets with 100% white meat and 100% whole grain breading. My boys and I have been munching on them like crazy. They are such an easy lunch for after school …. and momma likes them with hot sauce and honey for dipping. And they are so much healthier than stopping by McD’s or Burger King for mystery nuggets!

The Perdue Whole Grain Breaded Chicken has received the Whole Grains Council stamp and provides 4 grams of daily fiber per serving.  And if nuggets aren’t your style, there is also Perdue Whole Grain Chicken Breast Strips and Whole Grain Chicken Breast Tenders to choose from!

Mealtime is fun @ my home because everyone is involed! My children (2 & 4yrs) help clean the table & help me cook…by putting the noodles in the pot or adding the butter to the pan. Children love to be the big helper who made dinner taste extra special. Once we’re done with our meal we have dessert..which of course was made with my little helping hands. if there’s cup cakes..i let them frost their own. it’s a bit messy but bath time shortly follows. My husband & I work full-time so I need to have the kids involved in as much as possible…& they really feel important =)

  2. Melissa M. says:

A lot of the time we make meal time fun by finding “character” paper plates (such as Disney Princess) on sale. We design the who meal around that character.

  7. Mary M says:

I use the Currier and Ives blue and white dishes. When my children cleaned up their plates or bowls they would “find” the picture on the china. In addition, we “renamed” some of the foods. For example, garden peas are “roll-y, pole-y peas”.

I try to make mealtime fun by switching things up every so often. On rainy days, we’ll set a blanket on the living room floor and have an indoor picnic. Sometimes we’ll eat typical breakfast foods like pancakes, sausage and eggs for dinner while lunch would have been the evening meal. And I love to make faces on top of foods with veggies or fruits cut into shapes :)
