Before I had kids, I was already a fan of Bratz. These fashion dolls are so modern and sassy! With their gorgeous hair and chic style, it’s no wonder that girls were immediately attracted to the four Bratz girls – Jade, Yasmin, Cloe and Sasha. And now they are even more fabulous, with the new 2011 line-up.
BRATZ® ON THE MIC™ Doll Pack
This doll pack comes with a Bratz doll, microphone and speaker. The microphone can unplug from the little speaker, which has me wondering whether I can plug it into an iPod speaker or something similar. The microphone has 4 buttons – 2 buttons play unique music for the girls to sing. The other 2 buttons are “sound effect” options, which can change the sound of the voice. It’s a REAL microphone. My niece asked, so I figure that must be important to the girls.
My boys were the first to get their hands on it and they LOVED changing their voice. But we didn’t open the package until we got to my niece’s house. She loved Jade and immediately changed her outfit to match appropriately. Jade is a brunette with red streaks. She has black knee high boots, black leggings and a cute red outfit with a tutu attached. Her microphone and speaker are primarily pink. By the end of an hour my niece was singing her own songs in the microphone. And we both were making funny noises to change our voice using the microphone – being robots, meowing, etc.
These Bratz on the Mic Packs retail for $26. They are suggested for ages 6 and up.
MASQUERADE BY BRATZ™ Doll
Also new are the Masquerade packs, which include four NEW Bratz characters hidden behind mysterious masks. The sets come with a plastic girl-sized mask that is decorated with cut-outs. Girls can use the included make-up and the mask to stencil fun designs on their face.
The doll I received was Brielle. She is FUN and gorgeous. She had a total Lady Gaga feel to her, with her large poofy/curly blond hair. She had cute hearts on her cheeks, acting as blush. Her outfit was black boots, and a pink dress with a corset that is black with pink polkadots. She also had a black top hat on. She looked like a chic Mad Hatter – except super cute.
I believe the other dolls in the collection are a Vampire Queen, Fairy and Witch. These dolls retail for $21.99. And they are SO CUTE. They are GREAT as a Halloween gift … or buy them just-because they rock.
So what do you think of the new Bratz dolls? I think they are fun and current. My niece loves them and my sister approves of them. Anything that gets my niece imagining is a good thing in our book!
