The Mom Buzz family is a fan of Aurora Toys, with their adorable YooHoo and Friends line, Milly the Pink Kitten and awesome Holiday plush. Most recently they came out with Softy Soakers, which is a line of plush toys that grow when they get wet. And the cool thing is, they stay big for almost a week! I know they shrink as they dry, but we soaked ours last Friday and today (Tuesday) it is still as fat as ever.
They grow more “out” than in length. They seem like un-fluffed plush toys before they get wet. Then you throw them in the tub at bath-time, rub them vigorously to “activate” their growth. And next thing you know they are chunky. It was not a fast growth process, but once he was full my son immediately wanted to get back OUT of the tub to play with Softy Soaker Alligator. So I toweled him off. He was a little damp, but dried quickly. He could be safely placed on our rug and couch, without dripping water all around. He even has been sleeping with my son in bed for the past 4 nights.
It’s a cute toy. But just keep in mind it won’t get HUGE. It is contained to the length of the material it is made of. Mostly it just gets fuller and heavier. And I am still not quite sure how long it will take to shrink – but I prefer it not shrink any time soon. The joy is in the full-size toy, so I like that it’s staying full.

My daughter loves to take baths, so I don’t have to do anything except stick her in!
We make bathtime fun by having plenty of bath toys. We usually do all the cleaning first and then let the girls play with the fish and squirty toys afterward for at least 10 minutes before we get them out. This makes for much less fuss over having to take a bath.
