Halloween Costume: SCREAM #win

“Do you like Scary Movies?”

Ooh, doesn’t that line run chills down your spine. Remember Drew Barrymore running for her life as a new iconic horror movie “face” made itself infamous for going on 15 years now. That black robe and white “screaming” mask – you never really knew who was under it – male or female – until the very end. And it was so easy for a new villain to pick up the role in the subsequent movies, Scream 2 (1997), Scream 3 (2000) and Scream 4, which comes out this year.

So for Halloween, anyone can be that masked Ghostface to get some screams of their own! I requested it for my husband from Anytime Costumes, though, since he has trouble fitting into traditional costumes (big and muscular). So I figured this Ghostface costume, with a mask, robe and belt, would be a good fit for him. It retails for just $24.99. Since he wasn’t home when it arrived, I tried it on first. The mask is plastic, with black screens over the eyes and black material under the chin of the mask. It has a hood that fits snug to the face. And then the material has long, flowing arms and for me (5’6″) goes down to my ankles. So for a man, I would suggest wearing black pants/socks/shoes to complete the outfit.

The costume will be a little warm, so I suggest keeping a light tee on under the costume. It would be perfect for a cool Halloween – whoever is under there will be as snug as a bug.

I like the lasting power of this costume. It will be able to handle the years to come as a whole new generation is introduced to GhostFace. One size fits most adult men up to 6′ 2″ and 200 pounds. Child and women options are also available.
