Deep Frying Fire Safety Tips #win

Recently I was given the opportunity to ask volunteer firefighter & Liberty Mutual field manager, Tom Harned, some tips about holiday fire safety! One thing that came to mind was the new craze of deep frying turkeys for a succulent meal – how safe is it? Well, here is his answer and tips!

    Change your batteries in your smoke detectors every time you set your clocks back and ahead.

    always close the door when you exit a room, so the room does not allow the fire to spread.

    I would highly suggest having a small extinguisher in the kitchen. You can always be cautious as can be but accidents happen and it comes in handy.
