As a mom of two boys, I get that potty humor is funny. And for me personally, I am known to “hide” in the bathroom to catch a few quiet moments. I’ll sit on the floor in there to paint my nails, read a catalog, go through mail and other “quiet time” activities. And face it, I’m not the only one! The bathroom is often named as the number one place for moms to find a moment of quiet and a break from a busy day! (I wonder what number two was … :ha-ha-ha: Pun intended!)
Well, the Clorox Lounge has caught on that the bathroom has many uses, from being the “butt” of jokes, dad’s throne and mom’s quiet spot. It’s also the spot where you can enter to win $10,000 in the Last Comic Sitting sweepstakes! This sweepstakes starts on February 27, so mark your calendars!
The Clorox Lounge is more than a sweepstakes, though. Grab your netbook, lock yourself in the bathroom once your husband comes home and look around the site. It’s hosted by comedian and mom Sherri Shepherd, so it offers lots of laughs with funny stories. You can also find money-saving coupons! And it is really building a community, where you can read and share answers to funny questions like, “What Have Your Kids Broken?” or you can share your funny and crazy parenting stories for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card or $50 Clorox Prize Pack. That contest is WEEKLY.
C’mon, we all love talking about our kids and sharing their funny stories. And funny and crazy stories can actually help us all become better moms as we learn a new crazy method we can swear by or simply commiserate with someone else’s mom woes. In fact, here is one of my own crazy parenting tactics. There is a rumor going around that it’s hard to potty train boys, but I definitely do my best to disprove it. I found my own boys to be SO easy to potty train. And I used several methods to get it done before they were two. First off, I encouraged naked potty training. That’s not too strange. Second, I had a potty conveniently located near their preferred play spot – once again, not unusual. Finally, since I wanted them to learn NOT to go in their pants, I’d let them pee outside. They thought it was HILARIOUS. If they had to pee, they’d prefer peeing on a bush than their pants, so it was practically a game. And they got used to holding it in and running to their preferred spot!
Now it’s your turn! Share your crazy stories, tips and anecdotes at The Clorox Lounge! And be sure to enter their weekly contest and their huge Last Comic Sitting sweepstakes!
