TheMomBuzz received a SONICLEAN for review. This is her honest opinion, as a mother of two boys and owner of two dogs.
Sometimes I feel like I am between a never-ending battle between my vacuums and my dogs. And I have to tell you, lately my dogs are winning. I own a Shar-Pei, which actually “molts” two times a year. They don’t shed endlessly, but when they do – it’s prickly hair everywhere. And my boxer is always shedding his short brown hair, year-round. Oh joy, right!? And all of their short hair gets trapped in our area rugs.
I had one vacuum that totally gave up. It had the ability to tell me when the carpet was dirty, since it could sense particles. And one day it just insisted my carpet was still clean … and it stopped sucking those particles up, too. And my other vacuum definitely did not have the power to get all the particles up. I would vacuum, sit on the rug and still have all these pokey brown hairs in there.
But … there is always a but… there is a new type of vacuum on the market that used advanced, patented sonic cleaning technology to effectively clean carpets at 12,000 vibrations per minute, dislodging and removing surface dirt and dust, but also goes deeper to remove microscopic particles embedded deep within the floor. These particles contain bacteria, allergens, and more, that other vacuums miss.
And I have to say, I am IN LOVE with this new vacuum, the Soniclean. I can’t say enough positive things about it. The first time I used it, I was completely SOLD. If you are in the market for a vacuum – this is it. And I am not the only one that thinks so.
The Soniclean has been tested against popular competitors, and findings show that it cleans:
- 91% better than a Dyson DC41 Multifloor cleaner,
- 45% better than an Oreck Graphite, and
- 40% better than a Shark Rotator
The first thing I noticed when using the Soniclean was how LIGHT it was. It didn’t require any effort to push across the floor. It is extremely lightweight at only 10.5 lbs. But it feels like just ounces as I am zooming along on the hard floor or carpet.
Next, I noticed how conveniently the switch from hardfloor to carpet was. I didn’t have to bend over and rotate a switch on the mouth of the vacuum. Instead it was just a switch on the handle, so with a flick of my thumb I can go from carpet to hardfloor to carpet to off!
Also, ever notice a musty smell after vacuuming? Well, the Soniclean uses a Sonicfresh fragrance dispensing system. You just insert a fresh smelling pod underneath the bag, it’s that simple. Plus, the Seal Tech HEPA filter bags provide 99.97% filtration at 0.3 microns.
With a nudge of my toe, I could also manipulate the vacuum to lie flat to the floor for easy cleaning under chairs, tables, and bed.
Finally, there is something I couldn’t see, but I can still feel good about. The Soniclean uses up to 50% less electricity than many full size vacuums.
The only feature it lacks is accessories/hoses to clean upholstery. But I rarely use those accessories – they honestly just get in the way when I am wrapping up the cord.
So final say, I am just THRILLED by the Soniclean. I am hoping it becomes the vacuum of choice in most households, so everyone can feel as good as me about the deep down clean their vacuum offers.
The Soniclean can be purchased online at MySoniclean.com for $199.80.
