Two New Shows to Watch this Summer at SeaWorld Orlando #seaworldsummer

Summer has officially started at SeaWorld Orlando! My boys, my father and I visited on opening “summer night” and had a blast. (By the way, evening is the way to experience theme parks in the summer. So HOT in the day, much cooler to walk around in the evening. And not as many surprise rain storms, either!)

Anyways, now through August 10 visitors will be able to check out two all-new shows:  Generation Nature LIVE and Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night, plus enjoy the hilarious Sea Lions Tonite.

GenerationNature

Generation Nature LIVE is a new weekend daytime show that connects guests with animals, explores nature and helps guests discover how they can protect wildlife and their habitats. Bindi Irwin, Steve Irwin’s daughter, is the ambassador and you get to see video of her touring around SeaWorld. She is so fantastic!

Pelican

Then during the show they brought out animal ambassadors, like Maddie the Bald Eagle, Panini the Spoonbill or Panama the Pelican. You also see videos of Sea World saving manatees and dolphins. Finally, guests have the opportunity to meet the SeaWorld leaders in animal rescue, rehabilitation and preservation as they share their unique stories about a variety of rescued animals they care for. The Generation Nature program is all about inspiring kids to be Game Changers for nature.

AsianRiverOtter

After the show, guests can meet animals up close at the all-new SEA Garden. My son was thrilled at meeting an Asian River Otter – otters are his favorite animals. We also met an adorable opossum, tawny frogmouth and the eagle was brought back out. My father was enthralled by the Bald Eagle, but he wouldn’t let me take his picture near it.

Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night is a high-energy, nighttime show featuring new, original music and production elements, as well as new killer whale behaviors. First there was the pre-show at 8:15, which was a hoot. Great music, including music from the decades. It encourages the audience to dance and my 8 year old was really into the music and the dance movies. Once the show starts, Shamu Stadium is transformed with stylistic lighting and colorful backdrops to highlight the behaviors of the orcas. The show ended with a fireworks finale, which my whole family enjoyed. It was perfectly timed and so beautiful! I really enjoy these nighttime orca shows.

Empire4Sea Lions Tonite: I didn’t have the opportunity to watch Sea Lions Tonite this year, but I wish I did. I watched it last year with my husband and boys and it was HILARIOUS! I am sure my dad would have loved to watch it this year. You see, the Clyde and Seamore’s show is always fun to watch, but during Sea Lions Tonite the comedic duo reaches new heights and laughs during their review of SeaWorld’s rides and entertainment. No one is safe from their parody, not even Shamu! I laughed so hard when I watched it and so will you!

My favorite picture of the night. My dad HATES pictures, so I did a surprise selfie. LOL.
