I have finally met the American Girl of the Year (2015) in Person! She’s Grace and she is absolutely adorable with her sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of her nose, her deep gray eyes and gorgeous brown hair. We are flipping over her, like baked macarons! Do you flip Macarons? Well, I’ll ask Grace, she’ll know!

Grace with Accessories-LR (2)

This 18 inch doll comes with a charm bracelet for girls, featuring a black and white dog, macaron compact, purse/bag, Eiffel tower, Heart and Paris Postcard. She is wearing a Paris t-shirt, short pink skirt and purple boots. Some have called the boots gray, but I really see a violet color that complement the skirt and tee. Watch this video so you can see the details!

Grace is launched with two books telling her story, an array of fun accessories, and a cool app! Later this year expect yet another book and a full-length movie. Her story is about a young girl who is inspired by her trip to Paris. She decides to start a French Baking business at home with her two friends. Together they mix up great ideas that lead to sweet rewards, after solving a few sour problems along the way.

One of the wonderful aspects of American Girl dolls of the year are how they in turn inspire the young girls in our lives. In this instance, the story of Grace is released with For Goodness, Bake! This is a year long fundraising initiative that supports the No Kid Hungry campaign. Throughout 2015, girls are encourages to host charity bake sales in their local communities and donate the proceeds to No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry raises funds (and awareness) that currently 1 in 5 children struggle with hunger in the United States. But together, American Girl and their fans can help more children get the food they need. For every $1 a girl raises, No Kid Hungry can connect a child with ten additional meals! And to kick off the initiative, American Girl has donated $50k to No Kid Hungry!

You can also directly donate to No Kids Hungry, for the flour and dough challenged, at or at American Girl retail stores. And while your at it, visit to learn more about the initiative and register for the For Goodness, Bake! sweepstakes for a chance to win one of 41 Grace prize packages!
