This was also the first month that I spied BOYS SNEAKERS! And some cool ones, too! Normally I FIGHT against getting my boys clothes just because they have skulls on them. For some reason designers think boys clothes must have skulls, and I usually think they are done in poor taste. But, FabKids DID have apparel with skulls on them, but they were done so nicely, perfectly, with care to the design, that I actually chose those over some alternatives. So I started there, choosing Skull Canvas Slip Ons.

For the outfit, I fell in love with the gray, long-sleeve, “It’s Only Rock & Roll” tee in Medium. The Black Skull is wearing shiny, orange glasses that totally rock. My son originally wore the shoes and this shirt to St. Augustine over the summer and he got plenty of compliments. And when he wore the Slip-On Canvas shoes to the mall, he got more compliments on the shoes alone. These two skull items just work! We have washed the tee numerous times, he loves it and wears it a lot, and the design is staying in good condition.

To complement the shirt and shoes in cooler weather, I went with black, skinny jeans. My 50 pound son is wearing an 8, which ended up too big. That was my mistake, I should have reviewed a 7 on him. My 40 pound son is wearing a 7. I never bought my boys skinny jeans before and wasn’t sure how they would work or how my boys would react. It was “different” getting them on, with a little more pulling than usual. But once on and with the cuffs rolled, they looked simply smashing.

Overall, I think this outfit SCREAMS Autumn for boys. If you haven’t done it yet, become a VIP with FabKids so you can take advantage of their awesome Boy’s Fashions and exclusive pricing for back-to-school. New members get free shipping and 20% off priced!
