TheMomBuzz received a Groot Mask to review. This is her opinion on the product received.
Last year Guardians of the Galaxy was HUGE! Worldwide it grossed $774,176,600! And after the movie premiered in August, kids and adults had just enough time to choose their favorite character to dress as! One of my favorite pictures from Trunk-or-Treat last year was my son dressed as Rocket Racoon and two of his school mates dressed as Star Lord and Groot.
This year, though, my son is re-using his costume and I thought it would be fun if he matched up with his dad. So, I requested the Groot mask from Wholesale Halloween Costumes. Honestly, I thought the mask would be fun, but I didn’t have high expectations. When it arrived, I was completely AMAZED. It was so awesome, I laughed and put it on myself! It really just makes you Groot! One simply mask can completely change your appearance!
The picture on the website simply doesn’t do it justice. When my husband came home, I had him put the mask on with his suit. Poor guy doesn’t get a break. He is the perfect Groot. Well, a little shorter than Groot, but he will be a perfect match up to our son now!
The Groot Mask is 100% Latex and does have a thick neck, because you need room to put the mask on and off. There is also a little slit on the back to help put the mask on and off. It has two eye holes and a small opening at the mouth for breathing. I thought it would be misshapen from shipping or lying flat, but once on it does a good job conforming to the an appropriate Groot Face It is realistic from the front, sides, back and top. If you look at it from the top, you see the top of his stump head with moss growing on it.
The mask has crevices all over, just like a tree stump, and green moss growing on it. This is all done with the molded latex.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier and I am thrilled that my husband and son will be ready for Trunk-or-Treat this year!
