3. Tiffany’s Treat: If you are purchasing the engagement ring from Tiffany’s – or even if you aren’t  – this is a sweet way to propose. Create a cupcake box using the Tiffany motif. Pop the engagement ring in the frosting as a topper. Finally, head to a Cupcake Boutique and ask them to pull this out when you order. You can also do this at a restaurant and have the server bring this out when you order dessert.

4. Photo Booth: Ever since I uploaded the Pop Booth App on my phone, I have been in photo-booth mode. Wouldn’t it be sweet to pop into a local, fair or boardwalk photobooth for a proposal. Pop in the quarters (or credit card) to start snapping. And then immediately propose! You’ll get a strip of priceless memories of her first expression at being asked to marry you!

5. Scavenger Hunt: I am adding this cute proposal idea, since this is how my husband proposed to me. He actually proposed on Easter and hid on a sand dune on the beach. I had to go find him and a giant egg, that was filled with goodies … including an engagement ring. You can go with the Easter Egg hunt on Easter or just make it a fun Scavenger Hunt any other day of the year.

My Favorite Minted Classroom Valentine

Back in November I was buzzing Minted for their holiday card selection, which was unique and customizable. They made ordering cards simple and fun, done in just a few clicks. And now they are at it again with their Valentine’s Selection!

Minted actually has classroom Valentine’s Day cards that can be personalized with embellishments, different papers, names and photos. I was in LOVE with the idea of adding my son’s photo to his classroom Valentine’s Day cards, but I also wanted to use the same card for my youngest son – so I decided to forgo that uber-cool option. You can also further personalize cards by changing text and taking advantage of multiple color options.

Minted has a great selection of Valentine’s Day cards, and you can search by gender (boy, girl or neutral). And you can also choose whether it features a photo on the front, although you can choose to add a photo on the backs of most of the cards for an additional fee.

You Amaze Me

I chose You Amaze Me. If you figure a normal class size is 25 (more or less), then I could have gotten 25 of these cards for $21. I am using these cards for both my boys, so I ordered 45 for $27. I was provided with a code to review these cards. There were two color options. One was Tangerine, which was bold Tangerine (Orange) and Strawberry (Pinkish) Stripes. I chose Bright Teal, which is Teal and Lime striped. I could type in my son’s name from the FROM line on top, but chose to leave it blank since I am using extras for my youngest.

What I like about this card is that the recipient can actually do a maze too, so it’s a little activity. I will probably attach a lollipop to it, though.

Other options could be to leave it as a flat card or have it as a folded card. I chose a flat card. I also chose their signature paper, which is thick, slightly textured and really wonderful. But you can also choose Pearlescent Paper or Premium 100% Recycled Paper.

Just remember, these cards are “Classroom Valentine’s”, so they are smaller than traditional Minted cards. These measure 2.5″ x 3.5″. Super small, super cute.

My Color Laser Photo Charm. Really clear in real life! Hard to get a good photo.

I am going to tell you to bookmark this gift idea for Valentine’s and Mother’s Day, because it might be tight to order this in time for Christmas. Unless you are looking to use up some Gift Cards, if you were a lucky recipient this year!

The site is PicturesOnGold.com. They create customized lockets, charms, fingerprint jewelry, medical jewelry and more. One unique embellishment they can do is place personal pictures on your jewelry to last a lifetime. They do this either through Color Laser Photo Engraving or Laser Photo Engraving.

With Color Laser Photo Engraving their machinery will imprint your photo permanently in full color as a full photo quality image. With Laser Photo Engraving a combination of technicians and machinery will engrave your pendant deeply and very detailed. The engraved process gives your pendant a hologram look that sparkles when worn.

I actually received the Color Laser Photo Engraving and it was amazingly brigh and detailed. It was done on a genuine sterling silver heart pendant (1″ x 1.12″) and sent with an 18″ Sterling Silver Box Chain. The pendant was $69.95 and the chain was $25.95. They even were able to engrave on the back of the pendant. I chose a picture of my boys in their Super Hero Bathing Suits for the front and on the back had “My Super Heroes” engraves in block print.

I love the charm and necklace. In hindsight, if you are going to place an order I suggest going with the Laser Photo Engraving and using a script for the back. I thought the lettering was going to be smaller, so the block print would have been easier to see. But since the charm is so large, the script would have been very fitting and more feminine for the wearer.

I do want to say, I love the technicians who work there, because I can tell they edited my photo seamlessly to fit the charm better. THANK YOU!

For the Photo Engraving, there are countless products to choose from. There are hearts, ovals, circles and more. You can choose from Sterling Silver or Gold. And there are also charms, necklaces, keychains, etc. It’s simply a fabulous gift idea! I can’t wait to show off my necklace to my friends and family!

It features Grapes who make fun of Junior Asparagus. They have to learn to be kind and treat him as they would want to be treated.

2. Dance of the Cucumber - Larry the Cucumber sings a cute Spanish song, talking about how wonderful he is … and how untalented Bob (the Tomato Translator) is. Of course, as Bob translates, he gets wind of it and starts chasing Happy-Go-Lucky Larry around.

3. Larry Sings the Blues - Larry the Cucumber tries to sing the blues, but he just isn’t sad enough!

When you are getting all cozy with your sweetie on Valentine’s Day, you want to set “the mood”. Usually that means glowing candles and warm fragrances. But playing with fire can be a little dangerous if you forget to put out the flame in the hours to come.

Okay – maybe all my mom readers are now saying, “What are you TALKING about! For Valentine’s we are kicking back, eating store-bought dessert and watching TiVo.”

Well, I know for a fact, whatever you are doing you want your house to smell sweet and comforting. And Scentsy Wickless Candles are the next hot thing for getting a warm glow and fresh scent in your house. And the best part is, you don’t need to be playing with matches to get it started. This is how it works:

Scentsy Wickless Candles use a bulb to melt the scented wax that is placed in the decorative dish. You plug the Wickless Candle into the wall and there is a switch on the cord to turn the “candle” on and off. The wax is actually perforated, so you can use as much as you want. The more wax squares you use, the stronger the scent. When you are ready to switch scents, just pour the melted wax into its container (if there is still a scent left). A bar usually lasts 40 – 80 hours.

There are so many scents to choose from. I was sent Pima Cotton, which is a very clean, lineny scent. Perfect for a guest room! I’ve been researching some of the other scents I would like, though, and would love to try Cinnamon Vanilla or Mocha Doodle.

It’s larger than the Candle Wax Warmers I’m used to, but it is very pretty and I love the glow of the bulb coming through the openings on the body. It’s a nice, deep burgundy red color and very well-made, with abstract x and o’s on the outside. Check with your local independent Scentsy Consultant for the latest price (you never know when you can catch a deal), but the MSRP is $30.

I am picky about t-shirts. I like them to be soft, not too tight, not too loose and actually look attractive on a woman – no wearing boxy men tees for me! One of my favorite online shops for quality, cool tees for women is Nacho Mama Tees and its “sister site” Crazy Dog T-Shirts.
