This involves lots of crumbs, dirt, spilled food, twigs, etc. My littlest one is the master at bringing the outside indoors and pulverizing food to dump on the floor. Oi. Thankfully, I take it all with a grain of salt. But I do want to maintain a clean house, I just need a little help.

BLOWN AWAY BY PERFORMANCE: In comes the Dyson DC23 Turbinehead. I was super excited at the prospect since it uses a Level 3 Root Cyclone Technology for removing dust and dirt, which sounds pretty powerful. With our first attempt at vacuuming I was absolutely blown away by how well it was cleaning corners, getting the sticky dust from under the couch, picking up pet hair I didn’t even realize was on the floor and lifting the sandbox sand that the boys tracked in. It was AMAZING. It has 220 Air Watts of power.

DYSON VERSUS UBER MESSY BOYS: Now, I know my boys are unique. Not every child makes messes as extreme as them. So I did find out that when using the Dyson DC23 Turbinehead with the Turbinehead Brush Bar it sits just a little too low and I can’t raise the height of that particular tool to pick up the semi-crushed cheerios.

ACCESSORIES: Thank goodness it comes with a lot of different “head” choices so I can still hit those messes, though. First off, you already know there is the Turbinehead Brush Bar which is always ready to go. When you are on hard floors you can turn off the brush and when you are ready to clean medium and short pile carpets just turn it on again. Three other accessories are also included for different needs, such as a Crevice Tool for tight spaces, Stiff Bristle Brush for dried mud and dirt, and Multi-angle Brush to get dust off odd places, like fans, chair rails and other awkward spots.

FAVORITE FEATURE: My favorite feature is the cord rewind. The cord is super long, 21.6 feet! Can you imagine wrapping that up again. But with a push of a button it just brings the cord back into the vacuum, hidden away!

BAGLESS: The Dyson DC23 is bagless, which lots of moms like since it’s one less thing they need to worry about … buying bags. It holds almost 1/2 a gallon of dirt (.44 gallons). The canister is easy to dump with minimal dust escaping.

Lightweight: The vacuum is totally light weight, only 19.5 pounds so it’s easy to maneuver around the floor or lift into the garage over the step.

FINAL THOUGHTS: The Dyson DC23 is simply amazing. The suction is unbeatable and if it is a representation of the rest of their other vacuums, I would have no trouble saying that Dyson is a must-have brand. Definitely you want to choose the style of vacuum that best meets your household needs, whether it be an upright, canister or handheld vacuum. I know that when it comes to prepping the house for guests, events or to sale, the Dyson DC23 will pick up every tiny particle to keep the floor spotless, thanks to its Level 3 Root Cyclone Technology and array of accessories.
